Pixelmatic is looking for a skilled texture artist with experience shipping both stylized and realistic art directions. All our games have styles inspired by anime with their own unique twist.   • Work closely with the Art Director to build and update the projects PBR materials
  • Create and explore a variety of material categories for ships and characters
  • Maintain the color balance/palette and light values of the game
  • Support the development of unit customization features
  • Assist in creating benchmark art assets


  • 5+ years of experience as a texture artist in game development or feature films
  • Advanced knowledge of Substance Designer and Substance Painter
  • Firm understanding of PBR workflows
  • Basic knowledge of Maya and/or 3ds Max
  • Basic knowledge of Unity asset workflow
  • Strong communication skills, positive attitude, and a great team-player
  • Results driven, accountable, and able to accept constructive feedback
  • Must provide an online demo reel or examples of professional work with descriptions

Additional Skills

  • Experience optimizing assets for graphics performance
  • Strong matte painting artist or environment map generator
  • Experience with Agile software development using Scrum
  • Fluent in Chinese is a strong plus
