Pixelmatic is looking for a skilled 3D hard surface artist with experience shipping both stylized and realistic art directions to help with environment production. All our games have styles inspired by anime with their own unique twist. You will help drive the unique AAA look of the game and uphold quality! Sounds exciting? Got what it takes? Then apply!


Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Art Director and Senior Environment Artist to create hard surface assets with and without concept art
  • Take assets through the entire 3D production pipeline including modeling, texturing, and optimization
  • Create custom decals, brush alphas, and other helper assets to assist production
  • Maintain the shape language and detailing style guide of the game
  • Other environment related responsibilities may be assigned


Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a 3D artist in game development or feature films with an emphasis on producing hard surface assets
  • Advanced knowledge of Blender or equivalent production grade 3D modeling program
  • Advanced knowledge of Substance Painter
  • Basic knowledge of Unity asset workflow
  • Excellent foundation skills including understanding of shape, form, and silhouette
  • Strong communication skills, positive attitude, and a great team-player
  • Results driven, accountable, and able to accept constructive feedback and new direction
  • Must provide an online demo reel or examples of professional work with descriptions


Additional Skills

  • Experience optimizing assets for graphics performance
  • Experience with sculpting programs like Zbrush or equivalent
  • Experience with Agile software development using Scrum
  • Basic animation experience a plus
  • Fluent in Chinese is a strong plus
